A little bit about me...
Sam is originally from Tucson, AZ and attended Colorado College. There he double majored in Drama and Economics. Guess which one he's using more these days??
Sam originally moved to Los Angeles with an eye towards acting. He trained in improv at several of the major schools that have since completely closed. Through his work in various shorts and independent films, Sam was able to join SAG-Aftra.
Within a few years, and a lot of podcasts, Sam started experimenting more with writing. He took sketch and other writing classes around town. He started writing and filming shorts. One of his first projects was creating his own writing room with friends he met through improv. With that group, Sam wrote a variety of sketches. He then produced them and aired the sketches at a live improv show, which he also had filmed. The whole thing was cut together into Sam's first pilot called Breaking Curfew.
Since then, Sam has worked on a variety of pilots and features. Some of his successes include the movie Tournament, which allowed Sam to join the WGA. And in 2021 a feature Sam co-wrote with his friend Harry Valentine made the quarter-finals at Slam Dance. That feature is a horror-comedy called Stuck.
Sam is always working on some script or other, but you can be sure that whatever the script is, it'll be funny! Want to know what he's working on now? Just reach out and ask!
