A little bit about me...
Originally from Tucson, I attended Colorado College where I double majored in Drama and Economics.
I moved to LA in 2010 to pursue acting. I've been cast in a few things here and there (see Resume page), and it's been an absolute delight! I never thought that I would enjoy living in a big city, but I do. I've had the opportunity to work on a number of really exciting projects. That said, I've written a lot of bios over the few years I've been here, and this is my favorite:
Sam Gasch has been studying and performing improv for over five years. He’s an alumni of iO West and UCB and is currently studying at the Nerdist school. He was in the recent film RZ-9 where they liked his character interpretation so much that his character was spun off into a separate webseries called “Kinetic.” He’s taken scene study classes at Keep it Real Acting, Lesley Kahn, and Jen Krater studios. Sam comes from a theater background and in LA he’s been a lead in Neil Simon’s Laughter on the 23rd Floor and Snoopy! The Musical (oh yeah, he sings). With a wide variety of characters and voices that he uses during his weekly podcast Rachel & Sam Read a Story, Sam is the ultimate multi-cam actor. And with his theater background and training, he is pretty good at everything else too. This nerd plays Dungeons & Dragons on the regular, so you KNOW he’s going to put the time into his character. He’s professional, always early, and keeps everyone on set happy even into the 11th hour of shooting. Call him in and see for yourself.
Now, as I head into my seventh year in LA, I am focusing more and more on writing. My third feature script was recently filmed, and I'm working on a fourth. I've written half a dozen pilots and a LOT of sketches and shorts. I like writing and am excited to see where it takes me in the future.
